Oak Brook, IL, May 13, 2025 –Sterigenics, a Sotera Health company and a leading global provider of outsourced terminal sterilization services, announces the expansion of its Haw River, North Carolina campus to include a new X-Ray facility adjacent to its existing gamma facility. The projected opening is late 2025.
The expansion, strategically located in Haw River, North Carolina—just 30 minutes from Research Triangle Park and 90 minutes from BioPharma Crescent—will complement Sterigenics’ existing Gamma network and help meet the growing demand for sterilization services in the Southeast region of the United States. The new facility will provide additional irradiation processing capacity for manufacturers in the medical device, pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical single-use-systems, and commercial applications.

The new X-Ray facility will enhance Sterigenics’ existing global technology-agnostic sterilization platform which includes 48 sterilization locations worldwide.
